 5 O'clock show
On Friday, 6th January, 2006 ISP Bulldog where unknowingly used on ITV's Richard Hammond's 5 o'clock show.
The live television show took 10 members of the audience and asked each of them to phone one of ten call centres to see how long it took to get through to a human voice. |

Windows vulnerability Escalated |

On Thursday, 5th January 2006 the Kbps team reported on Microsoft’s announcement that the vulnerability threat associated with WMF (image files) types was not so much of a threat with the following statement:
"Microsoft’s intelligence sources indicate that the attacks are limited in scope and are not widespread. Microsoft’s goal is to release the update on Tuesday, January 10, 2006, as part of its monthly release of security bulletins."
Since then the number of attacks being made via this security hole began growing, this forced Microsoft to release the patch sooner. |
